We’re always on the lookout for new ways to make finding and managing domain names hassle-free. Today, we’re excited to show you the next step in that mission: the ability to discover domain names and manage your domain portfolio using only your voice. The United Domains skill is available now for Amazon Alexa!
Now you don’t have to have to have to check your computer or smartphone to check a domain name’s availability, check up on your domain portfolio, or get help from United Domains support. Simply tell your Amazon Echo (or other Alexa-enabled device) what you want to do, and Alexa will help you do it. No typing involved.
Here’s a look at what you can do with the United Domains Alexa Skill:
Check Domain Availability
Got an idea for a new domain name? Alexa can tell you if it’s available or not. Just say:
- “Alexa, ask United Domains if yourdomainhere.com is available.”
- “Alexa, ask United Domains to check yourdomainhere.com.”
- “Alexa, tell United Domains to check yourdomainhere.com.”
Keep Tabs on Your Portfolio
Can’t remember when your domain renews? Need a tally of your total domain pre-orders? With our Skill, you can link your United Domains account to make it easier to check up on your domain portfolio. Alexa can draw up an overview of your domain list, and let you know when your next renewals will be:
- “Do I have any domains renewing soon?”
- “What domains will expire next month?
- “How many domains do I have in my account?”
To ensure your security we’re not planning to implement features that would allow you to make changes to your domains. That said, we’re working to expand the suite of portfolio-related tasks Alexa can help you with.
Have a question or need an extra hand? Now you can skip writing up a support ticket. Just let Alexa know you’d like some help and she’ll have a United Domains support agent call you directly during our operating hours.
- “I’d like some help from customer support.”
- “I want to talk to someone from tech support.“
- “I’d like to speak to a support agent.”
Getting Started with the United Domains Alexa Skill
